Workplace mediation provides benefits to both employers and employees. In addition to saving money, time and energy otherwise spent in litigation, mediation can provide fast, creative, and mutually satisfactory resolutions. The primary goal of workplace mediation is to help the parties better able to work together. Through mediation, people sidestep the age-old debate of who is right (or wrong), and instead have an opportunity to understand as fully as possible both their own and the other's view of the situation, with focus on what solutions might also promote future improved working relationships. Virtually any difference that arises in the workplace can benefit from mediation if the parties are willing to deal directly with each other.
